    Production and Events Carpenter


    Monday through Thursday




    This position reports to the Event Manager. Primary duty is to service and maintain the KCM road sets. Oversees the set up, strike and maintenance of the road set at all KCM events and other meetings where the set may be required. Responsible and accountable during Load in, creation or changes to the show, supervise the carpentry crew. Install and maintain Events Set and property items with motorized and or automated elements. Works with Lighting, Sound and Rigging departments for the safe installation and operation of all these elements. Also, must be willing to obtain and maintain a CDL driver’s license as may be called upon to drive tractor/trailer or other commercial vehicle to and from a meeting/event. This position requires extensive travel.



    • Responsible for repair and upkeep of the KCM road set/stage, meeting equipment and road boxes/cases.
    • Oversees the setup/strike, loading and unloading of the road set.
    • Perform other Event Operational tasks as assigned.
    • Perform Pre and Post Event related tasks i.e. Truck loading and unloading Events building general maintenance, assist in other areas as need in the Events Department.  
    • Operates appropriate equipment and complies with safety standards.
    • Responsible for creating load sheets for trucks using Microsoft Visio.
    • Oversee Duplication of CD and DVD sets for meeting.
    • Oversee CD and DVD mastering using CD and DVD recorders and laptop computer with applicable software.
    • Operate CD and DVD duplicators.
    • Operate USB duplicator
    • Building of new set, scenery and logos as needed
    • Drive tractor/trailer in a safe manner to 95% of meetings


    Supervise volunteer staff and union crews for set-up and strike of all scenery



    Education and Experience:

    • High school graduate or equivalent with additional technical training or equivalent experience.
    • Carpentry experience preferred
    • 5 years Minimum Commercial truck driving experience
    • Must have CDL license 

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Carpentry or wood working skills preferred
    • Welding skills preferred
    • Ability to drive commercial vehicles
    • Microsoft Visio
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Use of audio/video recording software



    Hand and power wood working tools and equipment, forklifts, commercial trucks with up to a 53’ trailer, pallet jacks, CD and DVD recorders, CD and DVD duplicators, USB duplicators, audio console, computer.



    • Must be able to lift 80 lbs
    • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
    • Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment
    • Ability to work up to 25 feet above the ground using a ladder
    • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools
    • Domestic and international travel by ground and air transportation
    • Extended working hours due to meetings schedule and audio repair schedule
    • Ability to drive commercial vehicles

    • General working conditions are similar to any other professional church facility, touring company, and tele-production facility. As with any production position, At times interstate or international travel may be required.



    • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
    • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension and division
    • Must maintain a good attendance record
    • Must maintain a good driving record and pass DOT physical every 1-2 years
