Housekeeper/Janitor

12:00pm - 10:30 pm Monday through Thursday

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

Works under minimal supervision by performing basic tile and carpet care. Consistently maintaining floors in all K.C.M. buildings and other janitorial duties like removing trash, shredding trash, and vacuuming the large floor areas.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stripping, Waxing, and buffing all the vinyl tile floors.
  • Shampooing and extracting all carpeted areas of the Ministry.
  • Collecting trash from designated locations and delivering to trash compactor.
  • Must be able to (and willing) to work weekends and overtime when required.
  • Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping all areas.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • Education N/A
  • Previous housekeeping and janitorial experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Some knowledge of Stripping and waxing floors
  • Some knowledge of carpet care
  • Ability to use a Carpet Extractor.
  • Ability to use Floor Buffer.
  • Skilled in stripping and waxing tile floors.
  • Ability to work alone with little supervision.

 

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

  • Pallet Jacks, a wide variety of hand tools, carpet extractors, floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, furniture carts, Small utility vehicles, and ¾ ton trucks.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Able to lift 100 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 7.5 hours per day.
  • Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment.
  • Ability to work up to 25 feet above the ground using a ladder.
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools.

  • Must communicate well with others.
  • Must be detailed, organized and communicative.
  • Must be task and goal oriented.
  • Requires the ability to multi-task.
  • Must adapt well to changing work situations.
  • Must be able to make good quality decisions in absence of leadership.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Works indoors in with some outside work may be required. 

OTHER:

  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension and division
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
