Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary functions are to Protect EMIC/KCM assets and personnel. Twenty-four hour patrols of 1,500 acre estate consisting of Executive offices, Warehouses, Child Care Facilities, Airport, Television and Music Production Studios and Parsonage.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Carryout all aspect of Patrol Operations as directed by the Shift Sergeant; including posting at residence and manning Control Room Operations
  • Communicating all aspects of Patrol Operations to Security Department Leadership

Maintaining all training required by Security Department Leadership

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  •  High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree preferred
  • 2 years Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite familiarity desired
  • Must work all shifts and some holidays
  • Must work well in stressful situations
  • Must be able to qualify and maintain a license as a Commissioned Security Officer with TXDPS-PSB

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

  • Firearms, Telephones, Computers, Fax Machines, Copiers, Radios, Vehicles, ECD, OC Spray, ASP Baton

 TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of eight hours per day
  • Must be able to sit at a computer for a minimum of eight hours per day
  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephones and other office equipment
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision
  • Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment
  • Must be able to pass physical assessment, which consists of the following:
    • Mile run less than 10 minutes
    • 30 push ups in a minute or less
    • 30 sit ups in a minute or less
    • 3 pull ups done consecutively

 TYPICAL MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans
  • Must be very organized and require minimum instruction
  • Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations
  • Must be detailed, organized and communicative
  • Requires the ability to multi-task
  • Must adapt well to changing work situations
  • Must be able to grasp and apply new ideas
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions
  • Must relate and interact with people at all levels
  • Must have good command of the English language and be able to proofread work
  • Must be task and goal oriented

 WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Required to work holidays, overtime, and any shift needed to support the Security Department.
  • Required to work outdoors in all weather conditions

OTHER:

  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension and division
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
