The Child Learning Center Director is responsible for providing vision, direction and management for all of the functions and activities of the Child Learning Center (CLC). Director ensures that the CLC sustains compliance with all state licensing minimum standards, and is responsible for communication with the state concerning changes that effect compliance.  Director assumes oversight of the selection and implementation of all teaching material and classroom curriculum in accordance with the doctrine of Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Eagle Mountain International Church.  Director maintains oversight of CLC budget, staff, and parent and community relations to ensure the facility maintains a standard of excellence in every area. 




  •  Maintain managerial and administrative oversight of daily operations of the CLC
  • Process new admissions to the CLC.
  • Maintain oversight of CLC budget.
  • Submit annual vision and budget proposal for approval.
  • Ensure all health and safety records are maintained and kept in accordance with state licensing minimum standards.
  • Ensure all student files and information are up to date.
  • Responsible for interviewing, hiring, supervision and training of all CLC staff and teachers.
  • Ensure teacher/student ratios are maintained daily.
  • Conduct teacher evaluations and mock state inspections to maintain compliance.
  • Documentation of all appraisals.
  • Oversee selection and implementation of all teaching material, curriculum, media presentations, music, and lesson plans.
  • Plan, schedule and advertise trainings for all staff in accordance with state minimum standards and KCM/EMIC vision and mission.
  • Fills in for teachers to maintain student/teacher ratios.
  • Oversee intake and initial visit process for potential enrollees.
  • Meets with parents as needed.
  • Communicates CLC and/or state policy and minimum standards changes to parentsOversee billing and payment.
  • Oversee behavior issues with students and communicates with parents concerning issues and resolutions.
  • Ensure daily compliance with licensing minimum standards as outlined by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
  • Manage all incident reports.
  • Maintain staff files and records to reflect current training, and continuing education.
  • Write, revise and implement current emergency plans for the facility.
  • Maintain scheduled drills to ensure facility and staff preparedness.





  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associates Degree in Child Development preferred.
  • Must meet the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services education and experience qualifications for director of a state licensed facility.      



  • Minimum of three years’ experience in daycare administration, education, non-profit administration and/or Christian Education.




  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the minimum standards for state licensed facilities as outlined by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the mission, vision and propose of Kenneth Copeland Ministries and Eagle Mountain International Church.


  • Born again believer and must adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives.
  • Must attend church at Eagle Mountain International Church
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17 must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions.
  • Must maintain a good church attendance record



  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a team player and team builder.
  • Must have the ability to manage time effectively.

  • Temperament must exude patience and have a gentle disposition.

  • Must maintain 30 training hours, annually, in Management and Child Development, to maintain PAC license.

  • Must maintain a current CPR and First Aid certification.

  • Must be an active member of a local church.




  • Must supervise staff of the child care center.



  • Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, telephones and other office equipment.
  • When necessary, must be able to drive ministry vehicles on field trips.



  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to pull, push, stand, sit, stoop, bend, reach, move or carry equipment.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and vision.



  • Ability to give and receive information, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans.
  • Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all work situations.
  • Must be detailed, organized and communicative.
  • Must be task and goal oriented.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task.
  • Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions.
  • Must relate and interact with people at all levels.
  • Must be creative and imaginative.



  • Supervisory office environment.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside under varying weather conditions
