POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The producer position is responsible for all phases of the video production process of projects assigned by Marketing, Communications, and Broadcast. From concept to completion, all phases requires expertise, knowledge, experience, and/or ability to facilitate the following disciplines: directing, video editing, script writing, budgeting, camera operation, lighting, audio, makeup, teleprompter, and media management.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Leads the video content creation process over multiple assigned projects, remaining flexible in a fast-paced environment. Manages the logistic and financial goals of each project, completing all projects on time, true to concept and message, and in budget.

 

  •  Plans and organizes production schedule, location, shot-list, equipment, talent, pre-production meetings prior to scheduling shoot. When necessary, collaborates with outside production facilities and contract labor for locations, casting and other production needs. Prepares for creative input during brainstorming and conceptual meetings.

 

  •  Researches broadcast footage, stock footage and licenses production music in order to determine, identify, and select the appropriate audio and visual content needed to complete project initiatives.

 

  •  Creates, assembles, edits, and produces instructional/promotional video compositions using industry standard non-linear editing software Adobe Premiere Pro, including utilizing the workflow Integration of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and illustrator.

 

  • Provides and uploads all final compositions in the appropriate media format for use across multiple platforms ranging from broadcast to cloud-based streaming services. Archives all appropriate project assets for future reuse, modification, and/or repurpose.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

 

  1. Education: College degree or equivalent experience in Video Production, Advertising, Graphic Design, Public Speaking or related fields
  2. Experience: Three-year minimum experience in a producer role in the field of TV broadcast production or direct equivalent, which demonstrates creative and logistics aptitude in concept development, writing, art direction, scheduling, estimating, producing and editing. Video resume requested.
  3. Working knowledge of TV broadcast production equipment helpful.
  4. Knowledge of other cultures and customs helpful. 

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  1. Design skills reflecting the successful implementation of the principles of concept development, design, typography and color theory preferred.
  2. Understanding of videography, movement, motion and communicating through the web preferred.
  3. Must prepare and present a complete self-promotional package.
  4. Must be detail oriented and very accurate.
  5. Must be self-starter/assertive and extremely dependable.
  6. Must handle deadline pressures professionally.
  7. Must be capable of working independently with little supervision on assigned projects and must meet deadlines.
  8. Must be able to manage high volume of work and be able to switch from job to job quickly mentally and physically.
  9. Able to think through situations and make responsible decisions.
  10. Able to prioritize work efficiently, effectively manage time and be organized.
  11. Good interpersonal communication skills, able to work well with people.
  12. Good organization skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage a high volume of work efficiently.
  13. Ability to learn and discern teaching from the latest marketing training videos.
  14. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, database systems software.

 

EQUIPMENT TO BE USED:

  1. Computer, internet, fax machines, and telephone.
  2. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
  3. Various still and motion graphic suites along with video editing suites
  4. Social media such as Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter preferred
  5. Any content Management Systems such as WordPress preferred (for prototyping)

 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  1. Must be able to work, stand and sit in for a minimum of seven hours per day in various temperatures, depending on location and time of the job, which could include studio, edit suite, outdoor shoot, etc.
  2. Production shoots and post-production preparation may require you to assist in carrying equipment or materials.
  3. Must be able to carry production-related equipment or materials up to 25 pounds, and climb stairs that lead to or from your workplaces.
  4. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

Must be able to work well indoor and outdoor settings as project dictates. Working conditions are similar to those of other tele-production facilities involved in producing television and radio programs, spots and segments. Business office settings, studio, and remote locations are typical workplaces. There may be productions that require you to work longer hours in order to complete a project.

  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension and division
  • Positive attitude, flexible to change, professional approach and presentation.
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
