    Maintenance Tech I


    4 Days a week



    Under the direction of the Lead Aircraft Mechanic and the Maintenance Manager, performs inspections, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and replacement of parts on assigned aircraft using methods, techniques and practices set forth by the aircraft or component manufacturer. Following the FAR’s and proper manufacturer’s maintenance manuals or other instructions for continued air worthiness while ensuring compliance with AD’s.  Must possess an FAA Airframe and Power plant certificate and provide own basic tools and tool storage. Participates in 24/7 on call rotating shifts. 



    • Maintains shop and hangar tools and equipment
    • Inspects and repairs aircraft that are housed at facility as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
    • Pre-flight and post-flight aircraft for outbound and inbound flights.
    • Move aircraft in and out of the hangar.
    • Follow methods, techniques and practices set forth by the aircraft or component manufacturer. These instructions or techniques should be acceptable to the administrator. The individual carrying out these practices should use the proper manufacture's maintenance manuals or other instructions for continued airworthiness, tools and equipment as spelled out in the procedures, or the equivalent as acceptable to the administrator. FAR 43, Subpart 43.13




    Education and Experience:

    • FAA airframe & power plant certification
    • Associated Degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology(preferred)
    • Have 1-3 years practical experience as an active aircraft maintenance technician with experience in the type of aircraft assigned


    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Exhibits ability to learn and apply new skills
    • Writes clearly and informatively and edits work for spelling and grammar
    • Synthesizes complex and diverse information
    • Ability to grasp the operation of an aircraft’s system(s) and solve complex system and procedural problems.
    • Must be able to safely operate aircraft service equipment such as: auxiliary power unit; aircraft tug; power tools; mechanical hand tools/ paint spray equipment; tire/wheel maintenance equipment; electrical test equipment; and battery chargers.
    • Completes tasks and goals in a timely manner
    • Displays a commitment to excellence through accurate and thorough work practices.
    • Seeks out procedures to improve and promote quality

    • Must be a born again believer and adhere to the doctrines of this organization as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives.
    • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions.
    • Must maintain a good attendance record.
    • Current Texas Drivers’ License and good driving record
    • Must be available by phone and/or text 27/7 when On Call



    • Above average strength, endurance, dexterity and coordination
    • Able to lift up to 100 lbs.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
    • Must be able to work in small, confined spaces for long periods of time.



    • Must be able to analyze complex information, troubleshoot and determine work strategy to accomplish task assigned.
    • Must us preemptive thinking.
    • Must interact will with people at all levels.

    • Availability outside of normal work hours for rotating On Call schedule.
    • Mandatory overtime may be required.
    • Must be able to lift 75lbs
    • Must work in all types of weather conditions.
